NCMA Pond Project

ArtifexED is currently designing a Storm Water Management facility that will form the core element of a ecologic approach to managing the Museum's grounds. Working with environmental Artist Mary Miss and Landscape Architect Lappas +Havener, PA, ArtifexED developed a concept plan for the proposed site features and an innovation application of stormwater management techniques, directed towards improving water quality, habitat, and protecting downstream waters. Many of these techniques are applicable to the targeted reduction of non-point source pollution in all of North Carolina’s river basins. A preliminary site infrastructure planning document was developed by ArtifexED for the Museum Foundation. ArtifexED has provided assistance in grant writing, educational program development, and Geographic Information Services in addition to general civil and stormwater engineering services.
